Live Edge slabs used to make customer furniture. All done by custom woodworking

Where We Start

When you choose to go with Deep Rooted Woodworks to build your dream piece of custom furniture, you can be assured that we will not only create your vision with precision but will only be using the highest-grade material. We use wood that has been kiln dried to the exact moisture content (6-8%) which is needed to provide a stable, quality piece of workable wood. In most situations we will flatten your slabs not only once, but twice to ensure a truly level surface. This is combined with hours of very intentional sanding and preps the surface to take the finish that will seal it, preparing it for generations of use to come.

From Top to Bottom

Everyone expects to have a beautiful top for a dining room table, but why shouldn't the bottom be just as nice? After your tabletop has been flattened and deemed ready by our trained professionals for the finishing stages, we move on to setting the hardware in place. We use only the best; our top plates are 3/8' thick of solid steel and bolted in with threaded inserts and flat head bolts to ensure absolute stability in your new table. Wood naturally expands, so any holes are slotted with a plasma cutter for accuracy which will allow it to expand and contract. We even add another layer of preventative maintenance and use a C Channel. No matter how well wood is finished, it always wants to take on moister. We take these extra steps to guarantee your table remains intact overtime minimizing the chance bowing will occur. We want your new piece of furniture to last a lifetime!

The Finished Product

When we finish with several hours of sanding to smooth the surface for your new dining room table, it’s time for the finishing. Each side will receive a coat which offers both sides great protection while enhancing the natural look of the grain. When the finish reaches its full cure itll seal off the wood grains and shield your table for those accidental wine spills or the guest who forgets to use a coaster. Deep Rooted Woodworks has you covered!
